Land Capability Assessment
A land capability assessment determines a site’s suitability for onsite waste water treatment and disposal. There are a range of national, state EPA, local governmental and catchment guidelines. Some municipalities have specific Domestic Wastewater Management Plans, that must be adhered to.
Porta Environmental provides LCA testing in and around the municipalities of Benalla Rural City, Wangaratta Rural City, Mansfield Shire, Strathbogie Shire, Indigo Shire, Greater City of Wodonga, Towong Shire, Moira Shire and almost anywhere else by special request including interstate or for commercial, industrial or agriculture waste. LCA reports often need to conform to Council Domestic Waste Water Management Plans. Porta Environmental specialises in LCA reports for referral on to Goulburn Murray Water for properties in special declared catchments near rivers and lakes. Projects range in scale from houses or renovations requiring LCA’s for septic tank permits to large commercial or government projects or group accommodation, restaurants and wineries.
Landfill Gas Monitoring
Licenced and unlicensed landfills typically need to meet EPA guidelines for onsite Landfill Gas Monitoring. Porta Environmental offers a monitoring and reporting service supplying quarterly, annual or intermittent reporting in accordance with environmental management plans and procedures based on the current EPA draft Code of Practice. Porta Environmental is a NECCI inducted contractor with relevant professional indemnity and public liability insurances to operate as an environmental consultancy.
